Mini Rangers

The Dewsbury Rangers Play Phase is the starting point of every young Ranger's football journey. Mini Rangers is our scheme designed for children aged 4-6 years old. The programme provides a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where players can discover a love for football through play, exploration, and enjoyment.

Our sessions are centred around age-appropriate games and activities that help children develop fundamental movement skills, coordination, balance, and confidence, while introducing the basic principles of football in an engaging and supportive way. Every child is encouraged to learn at their own pace, make new friends, and enjoy being active in a positive team environment.

Led by FA-qualified coaches, the Play Phase prioritises participation over performance. We believe that creating enjoyable first experiences in football helps build confidence, fosters a lifelong passion for the game, and lays the foundations for future development both on and off the pitch.

As the first stage of the Dewsbury Rangers player pathway, the Play Phase prepares children for the transition into the Foundation Phase while introducing the club's core values of respect, teamwork, inclusion, and enjoyment. Parents and carers play an important role in this journey, helping to create a positive atmosphere where every child feels supported and encouraged.
