The Dewsbury Rangers Foundation Phase provides young players aged Under 7 to Under 11 with a fun, safe, and inclusive environment in which to begin their football journey. As the first stage of player development within the club, the Foundation Phase is dedicated to helping children build confidence, develop fundamental football skills, and foster a lifelong love of the game.

Our coaching philosophy places enjoyment and individual development at the heart of every session. FA-qualified coaches deliver engaging, age-appropriate training designed to improve technical ability, decision-making, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring every player has the opportunity to learn and progress at their own pace.

At Dewsbury Rangers, we believe football is about more than results. We encourage creativity, respect, resilience, and positive attitudes, helping every child grow both as a player and as an individual. By creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, we aim to ensure that every young Ranger enjoys their experience and feels valued as part of the club.

The Foundation Phase forms the cornerstone of our player pathway, preparing children for the transition into the Youth Development Phase while instilling the values and identity of Dewsbury Rangers from their very first kick of a football.

Working closely with players, parents, volunteers, and coaches, Dewsbury Rangers Foundation Phase is committed to providing an outstanding grassroots football experience and creating opportunities for every child to reach their full potential, both on and off the pitch.
