We are delighted to announce that Aiden Squires has been appointed as our U23 manager for the 2023/24 season.

The newly formed U23s acts as a stepping stone for our youth players as they transistion into our senior sides and allows players to continue their development in a competitive environment, something that is key to the clubs long term Player Development Plan.

Adult Development Phase Lead, Rob Smith, commented:

"I'm delighted that Aiden has agreed to become our new U23 manager. We needed someone who understood how important the transistion is and Aiden has first hand experience of this having worked and played alongside many of our youth players in the past. His enthusiasm for the role is something that I am really pleased with and I think this is a really good fit for everybody concerned".

On his appointment, Aiden stated:

"It's a massive privilege to take over the U23s, as my first position in management, working with the younger lads. Bridging the gap between youth and senior football is really important for players development and was a massive factor for me in applying for the role as I'm back working with players who are where I started when I joined the club. The talent we have here at such a young age is outstanding and I look forward to helping them achieve thier full potential and progress through into the senior sides".
